Included with the homework code that you will buy is an e-book forthis class. This means that you do not need to buy a hardcopy of the text-book if you do not wish to do so. You have 2 options to buy the homeworkcode. If you do not plan on purchasing a hard cover book you should buy itdirectly online through the link provided in Moodle. Please be sure to usethe DISCOUNT CODE: UMA16****MAKE SURE YOU ENTER YOUR STUDENT ID NUMBER DUR-ING REGISTRATION*****Please note: Assignments that are done after the due date will be marked inWiley Plus as late and their score will be reduced by 50 %.EXAMSThere will be two midterm exams, and one final. All exams are multiple-choice, and you will need a # 2 pencil (to fill in the answer bubble sheet).You may use a calculator (and you will need one), but you may not share acalculator with anyone else. Cell phone calculators are not allowed.The exam dates are Thursday October 11th & Wednesday November28th from 7-8:30 PM. The final exam is Monday December 17th at10:30 AM. There will be no early makeup exams for the final. All locationsTBA.MAKE UP MIDTERMSMake up midterms will be given Saturday October 13th for exam 1 and TBDfor exam 2. Make ups will only be given for a university approved reasonMath 127 SYLLABUS(i.e. two exams at the same time). Make up exams MUST be requested (byproviding documentation) no later than 2 weeks before the exam at5pm. These deadlines will be September 27th and November 14th respec-tively. In order to request a makeup exam you must provide documentationto your course instructor by the date listed above. This can be obtainedfrom the Registrar’s (Whitmore Building). If you miss both the makeup andregular exam (illness, death, etc) you may be eligible to take a supermakeupwhich takes place during the last week of classes or the first week of finals.You must contact your instructor within 48 hours of the exam and providedocumentation supporting your university approved absence as soon as youreturn to campus.DISABILITY SERVICESIf you are a student who is eligible to receive accommodations through dis-ability services you should have DS send your notification letter ASAP. Youwill not be able to receive any accommodations until your letter is receivedby your instructor. Accommodations are not retroactive, so please have yourletters sent ASAP even if you don’t intend to use your accommodations.For evening exams you will take the exam on the same evening as everyoneelse starting at 6 PM to account for extra time. You will be in a distractionreduced setting. You will need to email your instructor 2 weeks priorto the exam if you plan on using your extended time accommoda-tion on exams.HELP CENTERThere is a help center lab specifically designated for this class. It is locatedat 140 LGRT and is open M - Th from 3 - 8 PM.
