You will only be performing the procedure with the MH plates and you will be spreading 100uL of undiluted culture instead of streaking diluted culture. The following antibiotics will be in the refrigerator in petri dishes. You will use sterile forceps to remove antibiotics disks and put them on your plate. Each pair will use ONE of the provided. Next lab, you will need to compile class data for your assignmentNote: The organisms used in this experiment are Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus cohnii. ABO-Rh Agglutination Background Information: Exercise 11-5Experiment: Supplement pages 18-19PROCEDURE: WORK INDEPENDENTLY Follow the directions on page 19 of the lab supplement. Each table will test a different person and compile results. The transfusion worksheet (page 21 of the lab supplement) is due at the end of the lab period and must be the original page from your lab supplement or it will not be accepted.Safety: Dispose of all waste in proper containers and clean spills with disinfectant. Stay seated during experiment. Be carefulwith incinerators, alcohol, and Bunsen burners.Each class will use:20 MH plates (2/pair) – BLACK STRIPE10 blood typing slides (2/table)THURSDAYGram Stain data sheet (pgs. 201-202) is due at the beginning of lab and must be handwritten on the pages from your lab manual or it will not be accepted. The bacteria used in this experiment are known as potential enteric pathogens therefore take extra precaution.
