ICT NETWORKING IA network is when two or more computers, or other electronic devices, connected together so that they can exchange data. For example: A network allows computers to share files, share internet, users to message each other, a whole room of computers to share a single printer, etc. Network connections between computers are typically created using cables (wires). However, connections can be created using radio signals (wireless / Wi-Fi), telephone lines (and modems) or even, for very long distances, via satellite links.4.2.1 ICT I-NETWORKINGObjectives: Make straight-through cable Make cross-over cable Connect computers using cross-over cableMaterials:- RJ-45 plug(x2)- CableTools:- Cable stripper- Crimping toolInstruments:- Cable testerMachines:- ComputerPractical Steps:- Collect tools and materials for the activity- Cut the cable to the length of your choice- Cut into the plastic shealth about 1inch(2.5cm) from the end of the cut cable- Separating wires inside the cable - Arrange wires on both sides according to relevant colour codes; For straight through same for both ends For cross-over different end arrangement- Straighten the wires on both sides- Cut the wires to have the same end height so they can fit into the RJ-45 plugs- Lay the wires into the RJ-45 plugs- Use the crimping tool to crimp the RJ-45 connectors to the CAT5 or Ethernet cable so as to hold the wires in position- Test the cables with the cable tester to check if the cable works (all wires are well fixed in right place)- If its in working condition, use the cross-over cable to connect and send data between two computers- Submit the cables for inspection and marks4.2.2 ICT I-PROGRAMMINGObjective To gain a basic skill in MATLABMaterials: No materials needed for the workTools: No tools were needed for the workInstruments: No instrument needed for the workMachines: no machines were needed for their workActivity:We started the day by using MATLAB and we learnt basic operation skills like:- Addition, - Subtraction, - Multiplication, and - Division. We also moved on in learning complex operations in MATLAB. E.g.: - Log and power series.- Plot graphs- Calculate Fibonacci- Use for WHILE loop- Calculate matrix, finding its elements, rows and column- Creating a menu with options Then we learnt how to - Plot graphs, - Calculate Fibonacci - Use FOR, WHILE loop- Calculate matrix, finding its element, rows and columnsFor example:Addition Subtraction Multiplication>>2 + 3 = 5 >>3 – 2 = 1 >>2 * 3 = 6Calculating FibonacciScriptClear Cls F = 1FNEW = 0FOLD = 0For n = 3:1:20FOLD
