ACCT 200 Cohen Leslie 2013 Spring Week 1 Lecture 1 January 10 Outline of Last Lecture Outline of Today s Lecture I Introduction to Accounting 200 A Blackboard B McGraw Faith Hill C In Class Activities D Homework Assignments E LearnSmart Assignments F Exams G Miscellaneous Info Today s Lecture Course uses Blackboard not d2L PowerPoint slides will be on Blackboard prior to class under Course Material Can also find announcements and practice problems under Course Material Register on McGraw Faith Hill ASAP link below http connect mcgraw hill com class l cohen spring 2013 acct 200 10 in class activities posted 3 days ahead should do them before class then do them in a group and check answers your 2 lowest scores in the semester are dropped Homework assignments first two are on Blackboard BB and due on paper at the beginning of the class period third and final assignment is submitted online LearnSmart assignments are open for a week due by 8 AM should prepare before you do them by skimming the chapter should get full points if you finish them Practice problems on McGraw Hill Connect are VERY important to study for exams Need a non graphing calculator for exams Final exam is optional not recommended it will be cumulative will replace a missed exam or if you don t miss one but want to boost your grade all the exams will count and be averaged Can sign up for optional study lab info on BB 10 day policy on grade checks corrections Schedule on syllabus will not change Can go to any of the accounting instructors office hours unless it s a grade question then go to Cohen
