You can also clarify all questions with me face-to-face inmy office during my office hours, before class, or online during my virtual office hours.COURSE DESCRIPTIONThis course introduces you to two major areas of study of economics: a set of fundamental principles thatare used throughout the field of economics and a more focused study of the behavior of an aggregateeconomic system. The latter field is called macroeconomics. Macroeconomic concepts explain how theeconomy as a whole behaves in the presence of scarce resources. You are encouraged to check thewebsite often and keep tabs on your grades. Homework, quiz and exam scores will be posted online at theBlackboard grade book. It is your responsibility to contact your TA if you don’t have a grade for anassignment after grades have been posted for the rest of the class. While I prepare all of your exam andquiz questions and answer keys, the TAs are in charge of updating your quiz and exam scores in theBlackboard gradebook. If you feel there has been a mistake in your exam score, you should go to your TAsoffice hours to review your exam and the answer key. MYECONLABAll online quizzes and homework assignments will be administered through MyEconLab. Your access toMyEconLab is through Blackboard. To take homework assignments or quizzes, you will click on the“MyEconLab” tab on Blackboard and then click on “Assignments”. The individualized “Study Plan” onMyEconLab is created for each individual student based on your performance on the quizzes andhomework assignments. This “Study Plan” helps you focus your studying on the topics that you did notperform well on in the quizzes and homework assignments.
