Slave owners get more political power depending on how many slaves they have.- Politically, socially, and economically too much power. How can people with no slaves compete with slave owners.- Liberty party: The constitution is actually an anti-slavery document. It’s a pro slavery document.- They argued you have to consider the intention of the founding fathers and the opening of the declaration of independence.- Important for the liberty party to get the constitution on their side- Problem with America is being created by immigrants- 1830s economy collapse.
