Wednesday Aug 21stTigers’ stripes, like the human fingerprint, are unique to each tiger. No two tigers wear the same pattern. The striped pattern is also found on the skin of a tiger, thus if one were tobe shaved its unique style would remain. Interestingly enough, new research has found a correlation between tigers’ patterns and the habitat in which they are born into. Scientists claim that this may be a method of camouflage and could cause the relation.We all are raised differently and brought up in different households under different circumstances, different expectations, and different beliefs. However, where we are similar to the tigers, we wear my unique up bringing each day as well. Though it may not be seen through actual physical appearance, I know that all the time ya’ll have invested and all that ya’ll have taught me will go with me. The world is out to strip us of our uniqueness though. It wantus to fall victim to stereotypes, but my unique raising will not allow this. Nothing the world does or offers me can change the imprint of my raising of where I’ve come from and the impact ya’ll have had on me. No matter the intensity of the culture shock that you sayI’m about to experience, I know what I believe and I have something to stand for. My foundation is sturdy enough to withstand the storm. As Katy Perry puts it in her song Roar, “I stood for nothing so I fell for anything,” or Aaron Tippon in his song You’ve got to Stand for Something“ You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anythingYou've got to be your own man not a puppet on a stringNever compromise what's right and uphold your family nameYou've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything.”You’re influences on my upbringing have been imperative and standing for what it has taught me and who I am is equally important. I’m thankful for my unique stripes that the world may try to shave away, but they (my morals, my values, my beliefs) are here to stay! Your Unique
