Political parties offer US citizens choices; choices of governance, stances regarding political issues, and opportunities to voice a person’s opinion in regards to our countries future. In the US, we are fortunate enough to have numerous political parties that support and represent anonymously, citizen’s beliefs. A country can have parties without democracy, but democracy will not exist without political parties. When working together properly, political parties come together based on common interests and ideas to bring forth to the political system. Local parties are able to come together and discuss which matter that can then be brought to a more state and then national level. Whether or not everyone in the same political party may agree on an issue ornot, there are always compromises in which political parties have the ability to organize these different opinions. Once doing so, political parties can then elect or nominate their own leaders that will represent them as a whole. As for all the great and well representation political parties can achieve, there can come some not so great aspects. Political parties can come across gridlock or can perhaps compromise decisions, but then can have negative impacts on legislation. When representation is poor, connation to that specific political party can be negative. It is crucial for political parties to elect respectable people that will represent them
