Does it take up your study time? Do your friends not communicate with you as much because they are focused on their Netflix/online streaming habits? - Write a paragraph about how online streaming has affected you personally. Do you watch less TV? Do you still watch public broadcast stations such as the news, or do you mostly stream news videos online? - Write a paragraph about how you think online streaming has affected media for the good or the bad. As a person who does not even own a TV in their dorm room, I would say that mylife has been very much affected by online streaming. When my roommate and I were planning out our dorm room over the summer, we decided that we did not even need a TV, as we both mainly use Netflix and Hulu to watch our favorite shows. I believe that it is very interesting to look at how online streaming has affected people. Before online streaming on third screens (computers) and fourth screens (iPods, iPads, etc.) were available, people watched television more often. I rememberas a child always watching kids shows on PBS kids on TV. My parents would always watch the news on the television, and every week they watched their favorite shows such as Seinfeld and Friends on TV as well. Nowadays, my parents and I use Netflix to watch our favorite shows, and we learn about news around the world from theInternet. I believe that this is a good topic for a journal entry because it gets studentsto think about how their lives have changed due to online
