Evaluate the title: analyze the title and try to make inferences of what the title is introducing about the topic of the paper or book2. Check out the Abstract/Introduction: Try to locate key phrases such as:- “In this chapter/essay/paper I will..”- “I plan to demonstrate..”- “I will argue..” o Abstracts and Introductions are good tools to use for individuals in order to learn how to properly navigate through a paper.o They tend to give the overall objective or summary of what the topic of discussion is in the following work of writing.3. Understand and Acknowledge Sub-Headings: They will clarify what the following paragraph of the chapter or essay will be focusing on within the main subject of the writing. - Usually consist of small, simple titlesOverall, the paper’s format is said to entail a map, or indication, of the main idea as well as structure of the writing. These notes represent a detailed interpretation of the professor’s lecture.
