Attach a ticket stub or a signed concert program (signed by one of the performers). Attend approved concerts only (see page 3). For the purposes of consistency and equity for all class members, no exceptions. Physical attendance required. Be thoughtful, constructive and honest with your responses. Please write your responses on this page. 1. Was there anything specific about the concert which was unexpected to you (either positive or negative)? 2. Describe the concert ambiance (formal/informal, fun/boring, casual/stuffy, etc.) 3. Describe the audience (old/young, male/female, etc.). 4. Which composition performed was your favorite (list title and composer/writer)? 4a. Why did you like it? Was there anything about the music that captured your attention and/or emotions?Page 2 of 3 4b. Regarding your favorite composition, describe the following: - Tempo (fast/medium/slow?) - Melodic Contour (gentle/smooth or angular/pointed)? - Dynamics (volume): Was it generally soft, medium, or loud (piano, mezzo, or forte)? 4c. Did any particular instrument group/voice type dominate your attention? 4d. What was the type of ensemble of your favorite selection (i.e. orchestra, concert band jazz ensemble, chamber, voices, etc.)? 5. Which composition played was your least favorite (list title and composer/writer)? 5a. Why did you dislike it? 5b.
