The scientific methodThe scientific method is an opportunity to agree about things about scientific method in psychology that prevents us from eliminating disagreements. There are always disagreements among psychologists. This is one of the three important things in psychology; persons, causes, and the scientific method. II. Philosophy and psychologyPhilosophy, like psychology tries to answer the question; “What is the cause of a person? “This belief is based upon rationalism. On the other hand, scientists use methods based upon empiricisma. Rationalism is the belief that all true knowledge comes from the use of logic and reason alone. Engage in systematic thinking. b. Empiricism is the belief that all true knowledge comes through experience. Empiricists demand evidence. III. Social sciences are disciplines that attempt to be reasonable about evidence. Some examples of social scientists are the humanities, religious studies, philosophy, and literature.IV. Natural sciences use the scientific method to answer the question, “what is the cause of nature?” They ask this instead of asking, “What is the cause of a person?” Some Natural sciences are geology, biology, physics, meteorology, and chemistry. V. Determinism – The belief that everything is determined or caused. Games are experiences that are committed to empiricism because empiricism is the belief that all true knowledge comes from
