3/4/14Staging- Prosceniumo Arch that is above a stage- Thrusto Stage comes out into seating area o Generally used in small plays with not a lot of scenery o Audience on three sides of stage- Round (Arena)o Center stage and seating on all sides- Black Boxo A large or small room painted completely black o Benefits More intimate setting (very close to audience) Can see dance in a more detailed way- Catwalk/Runwayo Seating on both sideso Ex: Fashion shows- Parts of Stageo Cyclorama Screen that can act as a movie projecting service  Can have color displayed on it (usually red, blue, and green)o Curtains Called masking when put downo Wings Curtains on side of stage- Jobs in the Theatero Stage Manager Write down actors movements, have map of stage, responsible for emergency procedure, props, tell actors what will is being done each night (what rehearsal that is taking place, etc.)o Assistant Stage Manager Have headset and they call the show(calling cues)o Technical Director In charge of lights, sound, electrics, etc.o House Manager Box office, ushers, ticketing, housekeeping, marketing and promotion, safety of people in the theaterMake-up Day:March 26, 20144:45-7:00MLC 102 Midterm:March 27,
