SOC 100 1st Edition Lecture 1 Outline of Current Lecture II. SyllabusCurrent LectureThere wasn’t a lot of pertinent information discussed in this first lecture. It was pretty much the teacher going over the information that is provided in the syllabus. Some important Guidelines to take into account:*You need the book; it is available for various prices as an e-copy, paperback, and a downloadable book.*I-Clickers must be in and with the required batteries by Thursday, Jan 22nd, this attendance day is worth 4points. Most attendance days are worth 3 pts. You also need to upload the code for your I-Clicker on Blackboard. Bringing the I-Clicker to class w/o batteries or with it not working will result in no points for that attendance. * Reading assignments need to be done by the assigned date (look at the end of syllabus for schedule)* Every chapter has an online reading quiz, these quizzes are usually not due until the day after the exam. Please plan accordingly.Chapter 1-6- February 25thChapter 7-12- April 25thChapter 13-18- May 6th* 3 exams, each worth 140 points each. The third exam is not a cumulative exam, it is simplyan exam on the last part of the book.Grading:140 pts Exam #1 Tuesday February 24th140 pts Exam #2 Tuesday April 14th140 pts Exam #3 TBA90 pts Reading QuizzesThese notes represent a detailed interpretation of the professor’s lecture. GradeBuddy is best used as a supplement to your own notes, not as a substitute.65 pts
