What are the most important examples the author gives?The most important example the author gives is a passage from Dick Gregory’s autobiography. The passage explains on Dick was picked on a lot when he was young in his neighborhood. Originally he would be upset about getting picked on and then decided to start making the jokes before the kids could make them. 4. Why do these ideas matter for understanding communication?Performance is an important idea for understanding communication because communication is not solely about conversations. It has to do with actions and reactionsof those in the communicative process. It is important to realize that your reactions have almost as much and if not more of an effect on a scenario.5. What is one example you can provide of this issue in communication?When watching the movie Pitch Perfect, there is a rather large character that goes by the name Fat Amy. When asked about why she calls herself Fat Amy, she says that its because she knows everyone will do it behind her back, and by doing it herself she gets rid of the talk. Essentially, she has the
