First save lesson as a PDF file (remember: you’ll need to be in WORD to do that. It’s what you did to save your masters paper). Make sure that the name of the file is short and has no spaces in it: e.g. Katie-ADHD-SocialStudies.pdfThen click on the Upload file link that’s on the lefthand side of the WIKI page. 3. You’ll see this window. Upload your file and remember what the name of your file is! (See footnote #1 for how to find the file you uploaded on the wiki, in case you everwant to edit/replace/change it.)24. Go back to the CONTRIBUTORS page, click on your name. Then, once you getto your page, click on the tab 5. Type in title of your lesson plan. This will become a LINK to the PAGE with your lesson plan on it. See example with steps laid out on next page:3(a) The first line is already set up as a link to one of your lesson plans. You should fill in details of your other lesson plans in the lines below. For example: what it currently says:* [[EMBD-AGGRESSION 9-12 SOCIAL STUDIES - Goals and purposes of social and economic systems]]* [[DISABILITY GRADE SUBJECT-Title]]* [[DISABILITY GRADE SUBJECT-Title]](b) When you edit the title for your second lesson plan it will look like:* [[EMBD-AGGRESSION 9-12 SOCIAL STUDIES - Goals and purposes of social and economic systems]]* [[ADHD-INATTENTIVE 7-8 SOCIAL STUDIES - Age of Colonization]]* [[DISABILITY GRADE SUBJECT-Title]] NOTE: Make sure that you use the same language to describe DISABILITY, GRADE, and SUBJECT (S) as are on the list below. Make sure everything but the title of your lesson is in capital letters. The capitals will make it easier for the user to sort through the information on the list. Don’t include any other punctuation/characters than the hyphens indicated. (These types of characters make it hard for the computer to communicate with itself. Go figure)Grade: * K-3 * 4-6 * 7-8 * 9-12 Disability: * LD-Reading * LD-Math * LD-Writing * LD-Processing * ADHD-Inattentive * ADHD-Hyperactive * ADHD-Combined * EMBD-Conduct * EMBD-Aggression * EMBD-Immaturity * EMBD-Depression * EMBD-Anxiety * Communication * Autism * Asperger * Mental Retardation * Visual * Hearing * Physical * At Risk * Gifted * Culturally Diverse * Linguistically Diverse Subject Area * Math * Humanities * Language Arts * Social Studies * Science * The Arts * Foreign Language(c) Hit SAVE PAGE at the bottom of the screen 46. You should now see the page with a new LINK. Don’t click on that link yet! Click on the link to the lesson plan above it. You are going to copy some text from it. 7. You will see this page:Click on the tab again and you’ll see a page like the one on the next page:5This is the page that provides WIKI the information it needs for (i) linking to your document; and (ii) how to categorize your lesson. Highlight and copy this text. We will use it to set up the links for the new lesson plan you have uploaded.Hit the BACK button to get back to your page with the three lesson plans linked to it. It should look like the image on #5 above. 8. Click on the LINK that to the LESSON PLAN you are in the process of setting up. (Note: since you have not yet added anything to this page, the wiki will automatically open up to an edit page like the one you opened on the top of this page)a. PASTE the text you copied into this edit window6b. Now you’ll need to adapt this text in several ways. See next page:TEXT YOU COPIED: highlighted parts are what you need to changeHOW YOU NEED TO CHANGE TEXTplease see the attached pdf Keep (text)*[[Media:Socialized_Aggression_LP.pdf|EMBD-AGGRESSION 9-12 SOCIAL STUDIES - Goals and purposes of social and economic systems]]There are 3 parts to attend to from the highlighted parts:1. Socialized_Aggression_LP.pdf shouldbe changed to the name of the file that contains the lesson plan belonging to this page. In this case it’s: Katie-ADHD-SocialStudies.pdf2. Make sure you put the | symbol between the file name and the more descriptive title of file. (this is not a capital i or a number 1, it is called a “pipe” the symbol that is often on the key with \ on it)3. EMBD-AGGRESSION 9-12 SOCIAL STUDIES - Goals and purposes of social and economic systems should be changed to the descriptive title ofyour lesson plan. In this case its: ADHD-INATTENTIVE 7-8 SOCIAL STUDIES - Age of Colonization[[Category:EMBD-Aggression]][[Category: Grade 9-12]][[Category: Social Studies]]These three categories are what WIKI uses to sort the files. Change these categories using the appropriate labels forthis lesson plan from the list on page 4. VERY IMPORTANT: Use exact spelling and look of the categories on page 4. The sorting mechanism of wiki is case and space sensitive. NOTE: If your lesson plan is interdisciplinary, simply add another category. e.g.:[[Category: Social Studies]][[Category: Language Arts]]If your lesson plan has accommodations for more than one disability, simply add another category for the other disability.7You can add as many categories as you need as long as it’s on the list of categories on page 4. 9. The edited page in Katie’s case would look like:10. Hit save at the bottom of this window:11. OK  ! Now’s the time to check that the uploading worked and that you’ve successfully been added to the list of lesson plans for each of the categories you identified. You should see a screen that looks like this:You have at least four things to check:(i) Click the link to the attached PDF and try to open up the file. Success? If not:- see footnote #1 for how to check whether you’ve successfully uploaded the file. Look down the list of file names until you see yours. 8- Highlight and copy this file name. It may be that you have simply misspelled thefilename when you specified the link.- go back to #4 on this guide, click on the lesson, and then hit the edit button. Youshould end up with a screen that looks similar to the one as #9 in this guide.- check the title of the document by highlighting it and pasting in the title that you just copied.- Hit save at the bottom of the screen, and check again.- Still no luck? Contact Sonja(ii-iv) Click the link for each category you specified. Do you see your lesson
