Comp 87001OPNET MOD_DIRS Change• Each group now has control of its own copy ofthe model files• The model files are located in/proj/opnet/opnetgrp#/models• Each person should modify their MOD_DIRS topoint to this directory instead of /opt/opnet-v10.0.A/10.0.A/models – this will solve compileproblems related to permissionsComp 87002The Easy Way to Change MOD_DIRS• Open a text editor that has find & replacecapability– WordPad in Windows (H:\op_admin\env_db10.0)– TextEdit for OpenWindows on Sun(~YourUserId/op_admin/env_db10.0)– Advanced Editor in KDE on Sun(~YourUserId/op_admin/env_db10.0)• Find “/opt/opnet-v10.0.A/10.0.A/models”• Replace with “/proj/opnet/opnetgrp#/models”where # is your group number• If your editor returns a count of the replacementsit made it should be around 118Comp 87003The Hard Way to Change MOD_DIRS• Edit every instance of “/opt/opnet-v10.0.A/10.0.A/models” in the MOD_DIRSparameter and replace with“/proj/opnet/opnetgrp#/models” using the OPNETGUIComp 87004If You Corrupt Your Copy of the Models• If your copy of the model files becomes corrupted,you can obtain the originals by copying from theoriginal files in /opt/opnet/8.0.C/models• You can restore the default model tree bycopying the entire /opt/opnet/8.0.C/models treeinto your /proj/opnet/opnetgrp#/models tree• BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVERWRITE FILES YOUHAVE CHANGED IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THECHANGES TO THOSE
