Choose FileOpen ProgramSelect General BatchSelect batchclass5-65Click on the measurement program #2Select ModifyUnder name: type in the first four letter of your last name and the sample run # e.g. mort-1; mort-2 Each time the program runs, it will need a new samplenumber. Select OKExit out of program and when it asks you if you want to save changes, select YES.5. Select Measure6. Select ProgramSelect batch 2311 (General Batch)These selections should allow you to run your sample. The program will automatically ramp up to 40KV, 40Ma and ramp down again. The whole run will take about 25 minutes to traverse from 6 to 65 degrees 2.You will be responsible for making two runs of your sample, with two different preparations. The first will be a. 0-background plate with vaseline (quickest)b. glass-slide (water slurry) OR packed mount.To identify your sample, we will get a print out of the peaks, and the chart and you will do it by hand using search manuals. Once done, we will do a search with the computer.This will not all get done in the two hour time frame so you will have to put some time inby yourselves.To print out your graph and the peak positions with intensity levels, you need to do the following:1.
