ADO7 (critical thinking) and ADO 9(group work). These Associate Degree Outcomes are met by the giving the student the proper skills to troubleshoot and repair common problems associated with PC operation. Students will work in groups and explore the benefits and pitfalls of group work. Additional critically thinking skills will be explored by using issues that are debated within the IT discipline. Mike Meyers A+ Guide to Managing & Troubleshooting PCs, McGraw-Hill Technology Education, 2010, ISBN 0-07-223146-7 And a copy of Transcender EVALUATION PROCEDURES: Grades will be assessed as follows: Attendance 50% Exams 1 Each Day 50% Grading Scale: A=90-100 B=80-89 C=70-79 D=60-69 F=59 or belowCOURSE OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of readings, exercises, and assignments, the student will be able to: Be familiar with the format of and procedures for taking the A+ Certification exams and understand the advantages of becoming an A+ Certified Technician. The student will take the Comp TIA A+ 220-701 and 220-702 test. ATTENDANCE, EXAMS, ASSIGNMENTS: Students are expected to attend all classes, participate in class discussions, and complete all assignments/activities.
