Due Date: April 20 through 24 at the normal times (T, R, or F at 4PM). DESCRIPTION: This milestone is effectively the last one that deals with fabrication. You should be dealing with the last additions and improvements to your total system. The subsequent milestone is the demonstration of your fully integrated machine and your seeding score. This week, I’ll be collecting your notebook for the last time before the contest. After the contest, I plan to collect the notebooks one more time to see your documentation of the final machine and your reflections on the competition. The topics I suggest for this milestone are: 1. Annotated photographs of the complete machine in its current state. Please take a few photos showing different views of your machine. It would be good to show the two or three critical configurations such as arms extended or retracted. Label the photos with notes to indicate principal successes and major current concerns. 2. Fabrication details. Discuss the main steps you are taking this week to build your machine. What part has been the hardest to build? 3. What can we do to help you succeed?
