GENERAL COURSE INFORMATION: A. COURSE DESCRIPTION SOLID MODELING/DESIGN. (3:2:4) Prerequisite: DFTG 2332 or concurrent enrollment in DFTG 2332. This is a computer-aided modeling course which emphasizes the development of three-dimensional drawings and models from engineering sketches and orthographic drawings and the utilization of three-dimensional models in design work. The scope of Solid Modeling/Design will be for sixteen weeks, which will include two hours of lecture per week and four hours of laboratory per week, for a total of ninety-six contact hours per semester. B. COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES The student will apply the concepts necessary to create three-dimensional solid model objects; create isometric, oblique, and perspective drawings.C. COURSE COMPETENCIES Upon successful completion of this course (as outlined by: lesson & grade criteria and standards for course grades) the student will have accomplished the following skills and abilities: 1.
