Pasachoff and Alex Filippenko.Star Parties:Weather permitting, we will have around one star party per week. This will be an opportunity for you to look through the 14-inch telescope on the roof of Campbell hall and complete one of your lab assignments. We will post announcements and updates on bspace to let you know when these are.Grading:Your final grade will be based on mid-term exams (40%), a final exam (30%), homework (20%), quizzes in section (5%) and section attendance and participation (5%).Exams and Quizzes:• Two mid-term exams will be given: Friday February 26 and Friday April 9• Final Exam: Tuesday, May 11, 3:00-6:00pm• We will have two quizzes in section: Wednesdays February 10 and March 17• No cheating on exams or quizzes will be permitted. See the Department of Astronomy's cheating policy: http://astro.berkeley.edu/academics/cheating.htmlHomework:• Homework will be assigned weekly and due Fridays at 5:00pm starting Friday, January 29. You should place your homework in the box with your section number outside of 11 Campbell hall.• No late homework will be accepted.• You may work with other students on the homework sets, and this is encouraged. However, you must write-up your work by yourself. Identical homework sets will be discovered, and cheating will not be
