Currentresearches in this realm have something to say about the differences in competence between nativeEnglish-speakers (NES) and non-native English-speakers (NNES). For instance, Martínez (2005) in onestudy about construction of the writer's persona in researches find that:NES used first person mainly to show that they assumed responsibility for themethodological decisions that led to the results obtained (…)However, her investigation shows that NNES writers have problems using this enunciation way.According to Kapper (2005) in Second Language Writing realm: (…) some of the issues discussed most frequently include: assessment, peerfeedback, teacher feedback, writing prompts, audience, voice, computer-based textanalysis, contrastive rhetoric, computers and the writing process, ideology, genre, secondlanguage writing processes, plagiarism, and placement.There is a wide range of differences, related to the structure of the learner’s native language.Besides, according to Edlund:Literature, culture and education have rhetorical influences beyond organizational patterns (Edlun, 2003; 377) Specifically I would rather examine the ESL notes included in a writer handbook1, in order to seewhat kind of help is provided, and also, I would like to examine if this endeavors are substantial usefulsince my own point of view, as a NNES.1 Troyka, Lynn and Hesse. 2005.
