Turn in ONE Post-lab Per GroupChemistry 14CL Experiment #15: Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy There is no written pre-lab report for this assignment. Prior to lab, you should read the background information on NMR on pages 129-137 in the lab manual and 572- 577 in the Bruice organic text. It will also be helpful if you review the information in the following on-line resources and tutorials. Basic Principles of NMRConcepts in NMRPrinciples of MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)The Most Powerful MRI for Brain Imaging Post-lab report (Due at the END of the NMR Spectroscopy Workshop) Turn in ONE Post-lab Per Group Your report consists of the study questions and the isomer worksheets in the packet that you will be given in lab. Before submitting your work be sure that you • Write the names of your group members on EACH page of the packet. • Complete the study questions based on the pre-lab reading. • Complete Part 1 questions, (1 - 4), and obtain your TA’s initials for your work before proceeding to the computer lab. Note: for question #4, your group needs to PREDICT the 13C, DEPT 45 & 90 spectra for EACH isomer. • Answer Part II questions (5, 6) in the computer lab Note: for question #6, your group needs to COMPARE your predicted 13C spectra with the computer generated spectra for EACH of isomer. • Staple all the worksheets (if you have taken them apart during the lab period) and turn them in to your TA at the end of the lab period.
