Course website: http://www.astro.washington.edu/users/balick/astro101 Section website: http://www.astro.washington.edu/users/ebyler/astro101.html Textbook: “The Cosmic Perspective: Stars, Galaxies, & Cosmology” (6th edition) by Bennett et al. The textbook is not required, but highly recommended! Sharing is perfectly acceptable. Homework/Exercises: Exercises are generally due at the beginning of section the following week. You also have the option of turning them in to my office until 5pm that day without being penalized. Exercises constitute 40% of your grade (almost as much as exams!) so they are important to complete. Be sure to write your first name, last name, and section (AA or AB) on everything you turn in and please BE NEAT. Late Work Policy: Late work will not be accepted and will receive an automatic zero. Plagiarism Policy: Don't copy work. You may work with other members of the class on assignments, but the phrasing you use must be your own. If I find multiple people's work with the same phrasing, I will consider it cheating and follow the usual academic procedures to address the situation.
