They are the largest producer of board games in the world and offers services to many demographic groups. Their product sales vary from children up to adults and have done a good job extending their market past what they initially set out to do. While a majority of their games and toys are used to address the children and teen market, movies like Transformers, G.I Joe, and Battleship reach out to a different age group. C) Hasbro is the second largest U.S. toy company, behind Mattel (MAT) by revenue, with a portfolio of brands and products in the toy market that target traditional tradingcard and board-game audiences, family game consumers, and educational/developmental toy consumers. The company reported global net sales of $4 billion in 2010 and net earnings of $398 million. Hasbro has not yet reached the Fortune 500 but has been climbing in the rankings and currently sit at number 511. Mattel is in the fortune 500 and is currently number 388. D)a) Hasbro is very satisfied with their current performances. They are the second largest toy company and are making their way to the top. They have a very optimistic approach on the future and feel as if they follow through with their plans than their success will continue. b) The most recent year was definitely a positive for Hasbro. Every year they havebeen finding new ways to attract customers in various age groups. c) Really just to stay on top of the industry. Coming up with new and innovative ideas to stay on top of the market and maintain their dominance in the industry.E) The Company offers consumers the ability to experience its branded play through innovative toys and games, digital media, lifestyle licensing and publishing and entertainment, including television programming and motion pictures. It separates itself from most of its competitors because it doesn’t limit itself to only one market. Itaddresses different age groups and different levels of entertainment. The Company’s focus remains on growing core owned and controlled brands, developing new and innovative products which respond to market insights, offering entertainment experiences which allow consumers to experience the Company’s brands across multiple forms and formats, and optimizing efficiencies within the Company to increase operating margins.
