A student passingMATH1508 Precalculus course will be able to work with the concepts of functions (functions in general,exponential and logarithmic functions, polynomial and rational functions, trigonometric functions, etc), tosolve a system of linear and non-linear equations and inequalities, to make basic operations with matrices,to apply mathematical induction method, to work with trigonometric functions and their properties, andto apply in problems related to other branches of Science: Calculus, Algebra, Physics, Chemistry, Biology,Pharmacy, Engineering, Statistics, etc.1Course Activities/AssignmentsYou will find all homework on WebAssign. Your user name is your nine-digit UTEP student ID, input utep for institution andyour initial password is your student ID, please make sure you change it once you log in for the first time.And add your UTEP email too.Assessment of Course ObjectivesAttendance in class(both lectures and labs) will count for 10% of your grade. Homework will count 20% ofyour grade. There will be quizzes and in-class work that will count 20% of your grade. At the end of Timeperiod 1, you will take an Exit Exam. You must attain a score of 60% or better on the Exit Exam. TheExit Exam will count for 50% of your overall grade.
