Copyright Issues With flickrNot every image on flickr.com is copyright free. One has to excercise care in determin-ing whether an image they wish to use can be used fair-ly. One tool that people use to make sure others can use their work is a Creative Commons license.you can go directly to http://flickr.com/creativecommonsto search within a broad range of licensesType of licenses and what they meanan attribution license means you can use it as long as you give the artist proper credit. This is ideal for this class.a noncommercial license prohibits you from making money off the art-ist’s work. this will also work for this class, as your work is for education and not profit.a No Derivative Works li-cense is not ideal for this class. This means you can only present the artist’s work and not change it.Share Alike means you can do whatever you like with another’s work, provided you share your own work with an identical license. Some licenses are combinations; they simply use the combined rules of each license. On the Creative Com-mons page of flickr, each license is sorted. Some licenses are combina-tions. By clicking “See More” on the license you want to search for, you can find a variety of im-ages that you can safely use in your projects. Happy hunting!
