If the analysis is a 2-condition design, just use the appropriate models for 2-condition designs -- you don’t also have to analyze it using models for k-condition designs. E.g., for a 2BG design, do a BGt & Mann-Whitney, but not F, Kruskal-Wallis or Median tests.2. The statement of the H0: for a parametric and nonparametric analysis using the same variables are not quite the same -- watch your choice of words! 3. Analyses involving comparisons of 3 or more groups require follow-up analysis. You should include these analyses whenever they are appropriate.4. Some of the analyses require only a subset of the subjects, you will have to properly choose that subset. For each of the following research hypotheses you will do 3 analyses:1. Complete and write-up the appropriate parametric analysis(es) using SPSS (do whatever pairwise comparisons are necessary). 2. Complete and write-up the appropriate nonparametric analysis(es) using SPSS (do whatever pairwise comparisons are necessary).3. Complete the appropriate nonparametric analysis(es) by hand (this is limited to single-sample Median Test, Spearman’s r, Kendal’s Tau, Mann-Whitney, Kruskal-Wallis, Median Test, Wilcoxin, & Friedman’s tests)What to hand in for each analysis:1. Clearly state what parametric and/or nonparametric analysis(es) you have chosen2. H0: statement for the parametric analysis (if any)3. SPSS output for the parametric analysis (if any)4. Write-up of the parametric analysis (if any)5. H0: statement for each parametric & nonparametric analysis (if any)6. SPSS output for the parametric analysis (if any))7. Step-by-step hand computations for each nonparametric analysis (if any)8. Write-up of each nonparametric analysis (if any)Questions/Hypotheses for Analysis:1. I expect that folks will have a higher GPA during their 2nd and 3rd years than during their 1st year.2. During the 2nd year, I expect that those with higher GPAs will give higher quality of education reatings.3. Among males, those with Greek affiliation will give higher ratings to the quality of education they are getting their first year at UNL.4. Those with Greek affiliation are more likely to feel that UNL should be a wet campus.5. Those receiving their primary income from parents/family or from financial age will have higher 1st year GPAs than those who are working.6. For this sample, there should be about 75% white, 10% Hispanic, 5% Asian and 10% African American.7. The average age of 1st year students should be 18.5 years old.8. There is no relationship between Greek affiliation and how one obtains their primary income.9. Folks will generally spend more evenings of their 1st year in bars than of their 2nd
