Policies Introduction: 1. Post a discussion at the assigned times on the assigned topics from the C&G text. SEE BELOW. BE SURE TO SIGN IN FROM May 31 through 7 June 2011. DO NOT send the discussions as an email nor as an attachment. ALWAYS do them on blackboard in the places specified: discussions in the discussions at the left of the homepage and critiques under the title of assessments to the left of the homepage. SEE DISCUSSIONS ON COURSE MENU The value of intelligent and pertinent posts is 25 points each for all posts. These are REQUIRED for each discussion topic. 2. THEN at the designated date and time write on blackboard a critique of the topic assigned from the C&G textbook. THIS IS LIKE A QUIZ AND IS DONE INDIVIDUALLY. THE TOPIC IS ALWAYS TO SURVEY EVERY ASPECT OF EACH CHAPTER. YOU WILL HAVE ONE CHANCE TO DO THIS AT THE TIME AND DAY SPECIFIED. YOU MAY DO THIS OUTSIDE OF BLACKBOARD AND THEN DOWNLOAD IT BY COPYING AND PASTING IT INTO THE BLOCK PROVIDED. SEE ASSESSMENTS FOR CRITIQUES & TESTS ON COURSE MENU You may upload the CRITIQUE by copying and pasting what you have prepared. BE SURE TO SAVE IT!!!! This must be turned in before 11:55 PM on the assigned day or a grade of zero results.This is valued at 50 points and is a requirement. 3. At the specified time and day a TEST is given on BLACKBOARD. THIS IS FROM THE C&G BOOK AND OVER THE CHAPTER SPECIFIED. SEE ASSESSMENTS ON COURSE MENU FOR THE TESTS. You may take it in any 30 minute segment of the assigned day. Read the assigned chapter in the C&G text and take notes and study for the test. It will be multiple choice and true false. The maximum of questions is 25, WORTH 4 POINTS EACH. The maximum time allowed is any 30 minute segment from 12:05 AM to 11:55 PM on the assigned day. This is a requirement and is worth 100 points. 4. There are 5 discussions, 5 critiques on the chapters, and 5 tests. 5. The grade is the total of your points FOR THE DISCUSSIONS, CRITIQUES, AND TESTS divided by the total points in the course multiplied by 100. The total number of points is : 5 posts x25 points each = 125 points 5 Critiques x 50 points each =250 points 5 tests x 100 each= 500 The total is 875 SO:875-787.5=A 700-787=B 612-700=C 535-611=D 0-534=F Additional information: 1. All work MUST be done or the course is not complete. FAILURE TO TURN IN THE CRITIQUE OR DISCUSSION ON THE ASSIGNED DAY RESULTS IN A ZERO FOR THE ASSIGNMENT, This means Everyone MUST make a post for the discussions, MUST do a critique, and MUST take all tests. 2. I anticipate you know how to do technology and computers. 3. I am not responsible for technical breakdowns. 4. Be sure to do your work in advance so to avoid problems at the last minute.
