If your absences exceed these three hours you will lose points for each additional absence. Excessive lateness or leaving without permission will count toward your allotted absences. (Please let me know prior to the start of class if you must leave early. It’s a matter of courtesy to the class and the instructor.) *Make sure you shut off any beepers or cell phones during class times. These can be very distracting and for the most part, unnecessary for this short period of time. Testing and Grading: Grades in the course will be based on total points accumulated. There will be four (4) units of work. An objective exam will follow each of these units. Each exam will be worth 100 points for a total of 400 possible points. Grading Sale: A = 400 - 360 B= 359 – 320 C = 319 – 280 D = 279 – 240 F = 239 or less points *Make-up exams, when necessary, must be arranged with the instructor. You cannot make up and exam for an unexcused absence. Therefore, it is imperative that you call my office if, for any reason, you will not be able to take the exam during your regularly scheduled class time. Improving a Test Score: Throughout the semester you will receive various assignments that can be used to improve your grade. These will be announced later. I do not require papers for this class. There will be a combination of mini exercises. These are optional and worth extra credit points. Pop quizzes are another way of picking up additional points.Disability Statement: If you have a disability that may have some impact on your work in the class and for which you may require some accommodations, you need to notify the Disability Services and Resources here on campus. Audio Taping of Lectures: I have no problem with anyone wanting to tape my lectures. Please let me know if you plan to do
