Embryo starts development inside megaspore and protected by its walls. Lets new embryo “eat” its mother (megagametophyte): keeps energy used to make megagametophyte from being wasted–4) Microspore: disperse it through air, instead of delicate swimming sperm.Plants•Nonvascular Plants–Covered.
