MA 111 Exam 2 MemoThursday, October 20, 20058:30 P.M. LOCATION: ELLIOTT HALL OF MUSIC 1) Exam 2 covers section 1.7; all of chapter 2; and sections 3.1 - 3.3. This is the material covered in lessons #10-22.2) There are fifteen multiple-choice problems on the exam. The exam will be machine graded. No partial credit will be given.3) The exam is self-explanatory. No questions will be allowed unless a student believes there is a typographical or printing error.4) The following are appropriate Review Problems: page 72: 60-63 page 145: 11-18, 20, 22, 23, 27, 28, 30-32, 39-51 page 216: 11, 15, 18-225) Exams from previous semesters are available on the web page. These are good for review purposes, but not a guarantee of what will or will not be on the exam.6) Students must bring a PHOTO ID with them to the exam. It is recommended that students arrive early.7) No one will be allowed to leave the exam site for the first 20 minutes of the exam. Students arriving after 20 minutes will be allowed to take the make-up exam. If they arrived late for a non-valid reason, a grade penalty of 30 points will be deducted from the make-up exam score.8) A student must contact Renee Roames in MA 912 IMMEDIATELY if some emergency prevents them from taking the exam. The ground rules state the following:If you have an academic conflict with any of the evening exams, you must let the course coordinator know no later than two business days (Monday, Feb 28th ) before the exam takes place. If you have an emergency situation that will prevent you from attending an evening exam you must contact the course coordinator by telephone or in person (not by voice mail or e-mail) no later than 2:00 PM on the day of the exam.The course coordinator is Renee Roames (494-1929).For non-valid reasons, a make-up may be allowed with a grade penalty of 30 points being deducted from the student’s earned score. Not knowing the right date, time, or location of your exams is NOT a valid reason for a make-up exam.REMINDER: NO calculators are allowed on this
