A LOT OF PEOPLE USE IT BECAUSE THEY WANTS TO MAKE SURE THEY GET AN A OR DO REALLY WELL IN THE CLASS AND ALSO MASTER MATERIALS SO THEY CAN MOVE ONTO THE NEXT COURSES S. ONE OF THE OTHER THINGTHAT'S A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT FROM HIGH SCHOOL VERSUS UNIVERSITY, IS THAT IN HIGH SCHOOL THEY SELL YOU TO TAKE THE MOST DIFFICULT CLASS YOU CAN CAN SO YOU CAN GET TO CALCULUS IN YOUR SENIOR YEAR. NOW THAT IT'S, IT'S NO LONGER THE SAME. NOW SHOULD TAKE THE CLASS THAT YOU WILL STILL LEARNING THINGS FROM BECAUSE THE EXPECTATIONS ARE A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT. PROFESSOR DEMMEL IS GOING TO ASSUME YOU KNOW 3 PRECALCULUS NOW. THERE WILL BE SOME REVIEW. GOING I FIND THAT THE CALCULUS AT THE UNIVERSITY LEVEL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE A REALLY STRONG RECALCULUS BACKGROUND WHICH IS NOT THE SAME AS WHAT HIGH SCHOOL CALCULUS IS LIKE. SO HOW MANY OF YOU TOOK CALCULUS IN HIGH SCHOOL. AT LEAST MAYBE A LITTLE MORE. HOW DO YOU TAKE A DERIVATIVE. IT'S ALL A BUNCH OF FORMULAS BUT IT'S THE PRECALCULUS IS REALLY UNDERSTANDING WHAT YOU'RE DOING, KNOWING (INAUDIBLE) THE TELLING YOU THAT'S ACTUALLY WHAT'S REALLYIMPORTANT. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IF YOU CAN IN A CASE. IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN CLASS TO COME THERE. WE DO THE DIAGNOSTIC EXAM THERE TO SHOW YOU WHAT THE EXPECTATION SLEFL FOR COMING INTO A CLASS LIKE 16 A. WE DO PRACTICE PROBLEMS ALL THROUGHOUT THE SEMESTER TO PREPARE YOU FOR THE PROBLEM SOLVE AND QUANTITY AT A TIME I HAVE REASONING SKILLS AND ALSO HAVE PRACTICE EXAMS THAT WE ADMINISTER A WEEK BEFORE THE ACTUAL EXAMS SO YOU KNOW WHAT TO STUDY FOR. THEY ALSO DO GET IMPACTED SO YOU NEED TO SHOW UP BECAUSE ATTENTION IS REQUIRED. IF YOU WANT SOMETHING LESS STRUCTURE DOLLARS WE DO HAVE DROP IN TUTORING SERVICE. THAT'S WHEN IT 4 BEGINS (ON PAPER).
