Most presentations contain around 20 slides. Time your presentation ahead of time so that you do not go over 11 minutes. Dress professionally. Speak clearly and enthusiastically. Do not read slides or note cards. Never read all decimals of a number. Present as a team. Convince the audience that you are a team – interact with each other in a natural manner. Avoid using the phrase As you can see… more than once. When you are not speaking, look interested in the information being given by your teammates. Make use of available mathematical info and give logical reasons for conclusions. You do not have to include your Extra Analysis in the Oral Report -- there isn’t time. Create effective PowerPoint slides without live links. Answer oral questions professionally. Adhere to all other comments I have made in class concerning oral reports.Written: Create a table of contents. Give an introduction Use subdivisions. Include graphs with a brief explanation as to how they were obtained – give a sample of your excel spreadsheet. Give each formula.  Clearly explain your mathematical computations which must be correct. Interpret results correctly and completely – back up your conclusions with sufficient evidence. Use a clear writing style. Go beyond the class project -- give extra analysis of some aspect or of several aspects of the project. This extra analysis should occupy about 3 pages. Give a brief conclusion. Most written projects contain around 20 pages. Adhere to all other comments I have made in class concerning written reports. Excel file: Hand in to me a jump drive that contains one excel file containing all data.  Name your file Project __ Team __. I must be able to find it easily on your jump drive. Give logical names to the worksheets in your file. I must easily be able to find any graph or spreadsheet.
