There will be no makeup tests. If a major test is missed, the student must contact the professor within 24 hours of the test missed, giving the reason for not taking the test. If the excuse is accepted, the grade on the final exam will replace the exam missed. It is not possible to do extra credit in the course. Notes:• The teacher may make changes in the syllabus with advance notice to the students. • Please, do not bring family members or guests to class. 1. All cellular telephones, pagers and other electronic devices must be turned off during class time. Attendance: Attendance is required. To be counted present, the student must be on time and must remain in class for the entire class period. A total of three absences (excused and/or unexcused) will be allowed. For each absence in excess of three, one point for each day missed will be deducted from the student’s final average. Students are responsible for all announcements, including changes to the syllabus and assignments made in class, even if they are absent. Students who are absent, are not, by virtue of their absence, absolved of the responsibility to complete assignments made when they were not
