Electrical Engineering Department San Jose State University EE 180, Individual Studies Instructor: TBD Meeting Place/Time: Students meet on an as-needed basis Office Hours: TBD Course Catalog Description Individual work on special topics by arrangement Prerequisite: Senior standing Units: 1 to 3. The course is repeatable. Grading: Credit / No Credit Course Requirements 1. Identify the learning objectives for the course with a faculty member. 2. Register for the course through the EE office by completing the form: Application for EE 180. 3. Have regular meetings with the instructor and perform the assignments. Maintain record of the work done to earn credits. 4. Write a report detailing assignments and the accomplishments. The report must be submitted to the course instructor by the last day of classes for the semester of registration. Evaluation Basis Grade is based on instructor’s evaluation of student’s accomplishment with regard to the learning objectives established in the beginning of the course. Course Goals and Objectives 1. To provide a student with an opportunity to apply electrical engineering concepts learnt in various courses. 2. To reinforce the importance or keeping engineering record. 3. To provide the student an opportunity to work on a specific engineering problem under the guidance of a faculty. Right to Privacy Instructor will not knowingly reveal student’s grades, ID, or contact information, except within the limits of university policy.
