This is a test box. County Extension offices across Michigan are putting out the welcome mat for 4-H members and volunteers during the traditional 4-H fall enrollment period. Many counties are hosting open houses and other events to invite both new and return-ing youth members and volunteers to join 4-H clubs or participate in 4-H-sponsored activities. “4-H truly has something for everyone,” says Cheri Booth, 4-H State Leader. “Whether a youth—or a volunteer—is interested in livestock, gardening, cook-ing, rocketry, Web design, photography or entrepre-neurship, there is a 4-H program that will allow him or her to explore that interest.” To learn more about 4-H and to find a club in your community, call, e-mail or visit your county Extension office (click here for a list of county offices).
