WATER PROPOSAL 3Daniel KoppichI recently aquired a hydrophone (underwater microphone) and an uderwater speaker. So I have decided modify this proposal to incorporate sound.Images like these will be printed onto transparency. An alterna-tive will be to use layers of a dense mesh material. These layers will be suspended at different levels in a large plexiglass water tank. The hydrophone will send its input directly to the underwater speaker, generating a feedback loop. From the outside, shrill, yet faint sound will be heard. When the participant sticks his ear in the water, the sound will be unbearable. Hopefully I can find some way to make the strata pulsate to the sounds, up and down like a jellyfish. I will possibly insert lights into the water as well.hydrophone, speaker, and lightingstrata 1strata 2strata 3WATERGELATINOUS WATERWATERWATERWATER TANK: SIDEVIEWPRODUCTION SCHEDULEWeek of Feb 21 clean plexi tank, make water tight shop for fabrics, mesh tests with transparency in waterWeek of Feb 28 hydrophone and speaker arrive in mail conduct underwater sound tests sound designWeek of March 7 tests: lighting, gelatin water sound designWeek of March 14 put it all together “dress rehearsals”Week of March 21 refinements, fine
