Course Description MATD 0370 Elementary Algebra MATD 0390 INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA : A course designed to develop the skills and understanding contained in the first and second year of secondary school algebra. Topics include review of properties of and operations on real numbers, graphing linear equations, variation, solving linear and quadratic equations, solving systems of linearequations, polynomials, factoring, applications. , functions, algebra of functions, inequalities, rational expressions and equations, radical expressions and equations, quadratic functions and their graphs, solving quadratic equations, and exponential functions. 87Course Objectives: Instructors must include these in the syllabus.
