They are from 5PM to6:30PM (rather than 5-7pm as listed in the Schedule of Classes) on Thursday evening of the4th and 8th weeks of the quarter. They will cover material from the lectures, the readings, andthe discussion sections. Approximately half of the exam will be multiple choice questions andhalf will be short answer questions. The final exam is comprehensive and will also includequestions based on the lab exercises.Makeup exams are NOT given. If you are unable to take an examination or have an illness orother emergency, you are responsible for contacting the Life Sciences Core Office (LSBuilding, Room 2305, 825-6614) before the examination. You are required to have writtenverification regarding the illness or emergency. If you feel that a clerical error was made inthe grading of your exam, submit your exam with a typed explanation of the issue to the LifeSciences Core Office by Friday of the week following the exam and your entire exam will beregraded. You will receive morespecific instructions on each writing assignment on the course website. You mustturn in these papers in person during the section they are due or you will lose onepoint. Also, for each additional day they are late you will lose an another point. YourTA will not be allowed to make any exceptions to these rules.
