Latin American Studies, along with cosponsor Princeton University Concerts, presents accordion sensation Chango Spasiuk on October 5 at Richardson Auditorium. “El Chango,” as he is known in his homeland of Argentina, will be performing his unique version of chamamé—a folk music cousin of the tango that incorporates elements of polka, waltz, baroque chamber music, and even hints of African rhythms. Mr. Spasiuk, who has brought this little known music to world attention, produces a rich blend of traditional and contemporary music, adding elements of rock, jazz, and avant-garde. He will be performing with a small ensemble. We look forward to seeing you there!
