The course also administers a standardized assessment.Course objectives/learning goals: Review subject areas covered by the Major Field Test (MFT): accounting, finance, economics, international business, management, marketing, legal environment of business, quantitative analysis, and information systems.Course requirements and methods of evaluation:1. Complete the Major Field Test in Business. This will be done on campus on the computer in one of the Business computer labs. It is a two hour exam. The time will be arranged with the students near the end of the semester.2. Complete weekly quizzes as required on Moodle. Make sure you have your Caldwell College netid for logging in. These quizzes will be available for a limited time. There will be a due date for these quizzes and there will be no makeup quizzes. You will be allowed multiple attempts; however, if you fail to take the quiz by the posted due date you will receive a score of 0 for that quiz. You should try to complete the quizzes in a 20 minute time period since the final exam will also be timed. 3. Complete the empty outlines (EO) by using short phrases describing the item listed in the outline. Use paraphrases from the barcharts. Do not copy directly from the barcharts. Assignment final grades will be determined as follows:1) If all assignments are submitted and graded S, it will result in an A (97) in the assignment grade (at the end of semester).2) Each grade of S- will reduce the final overall assignment end grade by 3 points (e.g., 94, 91, 88, 85, etc.). 3) Unacceptable assignments will be graded U and will reduce the overall assignment end grade by 6 points (e.g., 91, 85, etc.). If re-submitted, they will be re-graded no higher thanS-. 4) Assignments submitted 1 session late will be graded U (-6 points). Assignments 2 sessionslate will be graded U- and reduce the final overall assignment grade by 9 points. Assignments must be submitted in class on the date due. E-mailed assignments will only be accepted on the due date if class is missed because of a justifiable reason.
