INTERNATIONAL GROUP ASSIGNMENTBA352-4 Winter 2005Assignment. Successful leading and managing in non-home cultures and countries requires adjustments to similar activities in the US. In this assignment you and your group will develop a pamphlet that can be used as a guide as people contemplate a work assignment in the country you select for this project. This assignment is a research project. Thus you will need to research information, analyze it,and then present your results. Since material will come from a variety of sources, you MUSTcarefully acknowledge any sources and other people’s work that you draw on and use. This means academically appropriate citations and quotation marks for direct quotes.Work Plan: A document developed by the group that outlines what the purpose of the projectis, who is expected to do what, what the timetable is for deliverables, preferred group processes for the group to use while working, and how the group will evaluate the product and the group process. Country Pamphlet. This is a document that outlines the results of your group’s research and analysis. The document (maximum of 10 pages) should be well researched, well thought out, well organized, grammatically correct, typo free, and appealing. The written pamphlet should include:- Title Page- Executive Summary- Table of Contents- Body of the reporto Country backgroundo Topic issues addressed o Recommendations- Concluding Summary.- Bibliography- Appendix as needed The pamphlet’s content should address at least two of the following topics, pointing out how the topic is manifest in the culture and comparing/contrasting it to parallel expectations in the US.- Negotiation strategies and practices- Preferred and effective leadership styles in the culture- Decision making practices found in the culture- Communication processes, both verbal and written in the culture- Teamwork expectations in the culture- The role of women in business; current and emerging trends.- Sustainability in the country and culture.- Other unique aspects of doing business in the culture.1 of 2 1/14/2019In addition to the above, the pamphlet should include relevant information about the country such as demographics, government, economic conditions, current events, weather, social customs that would be useful to someone considering working in the country.Finally, the pamphlet must contain action recommendations for the reader which are directly supported by the research and analysis you have done.Presentation. The group has 12 minutes to present a report on their research, analysis and recommendations. Assume the presentation is being made to a group of people going to thecountry to work.Presentation Expectations:- Presentation should be engaging, lively, and interesting. It need not be “formal.”- Use of visual aids will help. Be careful NOT to read your notes, the visual aids, or simply read the pamphlet.- All members need not participate in the presentation itself. However, all are expected to have fully participated in its creation.Grading Expectations. - Consider interviewing students from your country to confirm, challenge, and add to your findings from the literature search.- Pamphlet.o An “A” grade pamphlet will have used at least 9 different published sources and clearly demonstrate that they are integrated throughout the pamphlet. Use of appropriate citations is essential.o Include a bibliography page.o When citing electronic sources, include the title as well as the URL. Limiting references to electronic sources will limit potential points for the project.o The pamphlet must be coherent and thoughtful. It cannot be an awkward collection of different pieces of information.o Use headings to organize the pamphlet and help the reader.o Take care to be sure facts are accurately presented.o Proofread the document to eliminate grammar and typo problems.o Recommendations should be supported by research and analysis.- Presentation:o Maintain eye contact with audience.o Effective and appropriate visual aids.o Speak so that all can hear.o Demonstrate appropriate level of understanding of the material.o Presentation is logical and sensibly organized.o Presentation is interesting.o Audience participation solicited.2 of 2
