The residents of this section consider themselves a part of the broader neighborhood south of I-94 because their small enclave is otherwise surrounded by industrial uses (Butterbrodt). Currently residents can walk south on Prior Avenue, across the Interstate and into the main part of Merriam Park; however, the combination of the Interstate and railroad tracks creates a psychological barrier
