Quick Step Plus College Algebra (QSPCA) MATH 171 STEPS TO APPLY, ENROLL AND PAY QSPCA is a concurrent enrollment course set up differently than College Now. Your high school grade is given by the high school teacher and the JCCC grade is given by the JCCC professor. Your high school enrollment still stands separately from your JCCC enrollment. Being enrolled in a class at the high school does not automatically enroll you in QSPCA. To earn college credit, complete the steps outlined below. Deadline Application, authorization form and ACT test score priority submission deadline. Forms will be accepted after this deadline, but there is no guarantee of processing by the enrollment deadline 9-26-14 COMPASS math placement deadline. An ACT math sub-score of 25 or higher exempts you from taking the COMPASS math placement test. 10-10-14 Enrollment deadline – payment is due at the time of enrollment 10-10-14 Last day for 100% refund 10-24-14 Last day to withdraw without a “W” on transcript 11-17-14 Last day to request pass/fail grade or withdraw with a “W” on transcript 3-2-15  Submit ACT Scores or take the COMPASS Math Placement Test Placement Information: You must meet the prerequisite to enroll in QSPCA by placing into College Algebra or higher on the COMPASS or by having the appropriate ACT math sub-score (25+) or by having a “C” or higher in Math 116. The COMPASS is a computer-based test administered in the Testing Center on the third floor of the Student Center. The test is given on a walk-in basis; no appointment is necessary. The average time for test is about an hour. A current photo ID and JCCC ID number are required to test. Check this website http://www.jccc.edu/testing/math-placment.html - for the math study guide and Testing Center hours. Placement Test must be started one hour prior to lab closing. Enrollment in a high school class does not guarantee enrollment in the JCCC equivalent. The COMPASS Placement test must be taken seriously! COMPASS Retest Policy: After their initial test, students can retest once per semester. PLEASE NOTE: If using ACT scores, the original score report must be submitted in person to Testing Services to authenticate scores. Scores can also be taken off of transcripts sent directly to JCCC from your high school. If you have never taken a class through JCCC, complete these two steps, immediately.  Submit High School Authorization Form – see high school counselor for a copy.  Submit Application for Admission – http://admissions.jccc.edu Turn over for two more steps…. Enroll – October 10, 2014 is the enrollment deadline. This is a firm deadline! After your application, authorization form and test scores have been processed, there are three ways you can enroll – see below. Once you enroll, you agree to assume financial responsibility for all charges billed to your student account. Should you decide not to earn college credit, it is your responsibility to withdraw from classes at JCCC by the refund deadline. WEB a. Go to www.jccc.edu b.
